RETAINER: Most interior design firms require an initial retainer in the amount of $500, $1000 or $5000 in order for design work to begin. The range of the retainer will be determined by the interior designer and you after you discuss the scope of the project. An Interior Design team charges hourly for time as well. Rates can range from $125 – $500 an hour depending on the project and the designer’s experience. You should receive bi-weekly statements keeping you posted on your account balance.
PURCHASES: As a design professional, interior designers will make every effort to find the best selections at the best value to our clients. Purchases are invoice at the interior designer’s best price plus 30%.
INITIAL CONSULTATION: Before beginning any project, a design team member will meet with you to discuss your needs and ideas. During the initial 1 hour consultation the interior designer and you will decide the most cost effective way to work together. There is an initial consultation fee, typically billed at the hour rate which can range from $125.00 – $500.00 and if you choose, there will be no further obligation.
